The Odessa Symphony Guild is proud to support the Midland-Odessa Symphony & Chorale in the 2008-2009 Season, Mosaic Melodies. We are excited to be a part of this year’s concert season which promises to provide something for everyone!
The Odessa Symphony Guild has over 100 Active Members and Patrons. Our Active Members support the MOSC by purchasing season tickets, hosting receptions, selling tickets, decorating for concerts and fundraising. The Odessa Symphony Guild serves on the MOSC Board of Directors and is also represented at the state level as a member of the Texas Association of Symphony Orchestras (TASO). In addition, the Guild sponsors the National Young Artist Competition (NYAC) every four years. Musicians from all over the United States come to Odessa to compete for cash prizes and the opportunity to perform as a soloist with the Midland-Odessa Symphony the following season. Our next competition will be in January, 2011.
The Odessa Symphony Guild is proud of its Belles and Beaux! These young ladies and gentlemen support the symphony by decorating for concerts, ushering, hosting receptions, taking tickets and attending concerts. The Belles and Beaux are honored each year at the Gala Ball, our primary fundraiser for the MOSC. This year, the Ball will be held Saturday, February 21, 2009, at the Odessa Country Club. The Freshman, Sophomore and Junior Belles and Beaux will be recognized at the Ball while the Seniors will be formally presented to the community and recognized for their participation in the Odessa Symphony Guild. This elegant evening promises to be a fun family event!
